Kindred Estate provides estate administration and coordination services. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice or legal representation. Whether an estate needs an attorney is your decision — we don't make it for you and we never tell you to skip legal advice. If we notice something that may call for a lawyer, we point it out so you can review it with an attorney of your choosing.

Scope of services

Our services are estate administration and coordination only. We do not provide legal advice, prepare or file legal or court documents, represent anyone in a dispute, resolve conflicts among heirs, or decide whether you need an attorney. Legal questions, court filings, and any disputes are for an attorney of your choosing.

Not a law firm; no legal advice

We are an estate administration and coordination service. We are not a law firm, we are not attorneys, and we do not provide legal advice, legal opinions, or legal representation. Nothing on this website or said by our team constitutes legal advice.

Engaging us does not create an attorney–client relationship, and your communications with us are not protected by the attorney–client privilege.

We do not decide whether you need a lawyer

Whether your estate requires an attorney is a legal question and your decision to make — ideally with an attorney's input. We do not make that determination for you, advise you that you do or do not need a lawyer, or tell you which legal process to use. If we notice something that may call for legal advice, we point it out so you can review it with an attorney of your choosing.

We do not prepare or file legal documents

We organize records, facts, and information and assemble them for the professionals working on the estate. We do not prepare, select, sign, or file legal or court documents, and we do not represent anyone before any court. Where the estate requires court filings or legal documents, those are prepared and filed by a licensed attorney.

We coordinate licensed professionals

When a matter requires legal work — such as contested issues or court filings — we will point it out, and you can engage an attorney of your choosing. Likewise, tax returns for the estate are prepared by a licensed CPA. We coordinate these professionals; we do not replace them.

Independence — we are paid only by you

Kindred works only for you. We are paid solely by our clients — never by the attorneys, CPAs, appraisers, or real estate agents we help coordinate. We do not accept referral fees, commissions, or kickbacks from them, and we do not collect or split their fees. You choose those professionals and pay them directly.

Availability

We offer estate administration and coordination services in all 50 states. The specific procedures, requirements, and timelines for settling an estate vary by state and by the facts of each estate.

Illustrative figures

Any dollar amounts, fee comparisons, time estimates, or savings examples shown on this site are illustrative only. They are not quotes or guarantees. Your actual fee and the work required depend on the specifics of the estate and are confirmed before any engagement begins.

No guarantee of outcomes
